About

I’ve always enjoyed being in the kitchen.

When I was a youngun’ as I was watching the blueplate brother and sister, I remember reading the back of a box of spaghetti and trying to follow a recipe for Spaghetti Carbonara and I never was the same since. (it turned out pretty good.)

I went to college and lived on Top Ramen™, Taco Bell®, and peanut butter from a great big jar. Once in a while I got lucky and got to use a kitchen to make some real food. But not too often.

Leaving college behind I found myself in the kitchen more and more. Calling up the blueplate mom to get her recipe for potato salad, trying and failing to bake bread, etc.

A series of girlfriends and grad school later I had made enough dinners to develop a touch of skill. (hours and hours of Food Network helped too.)

This site is for me, and my designated bachelorettes, to share what we’ve learned and any tasty stuff we find or come up with.
