Great. Just great. Now every obnoxious New Jersey twit with a platinum card in their wallet is going to come to Portland. Thanks, New York Times. Thanks for ruining it for everybody.
Back when I escaped from the right coast, Portland was this undiscovered jewel. I told people where I was living and they remarked “doesn’t it rain a lot there?” I said “Yes, tons. All the time. Never stops. Stay away.”
Apparently my misinformation campaign was not enough. I’ll try harder.
