Hot Cereal with Blueberries and Toasted Almonds
Breakfast is serious business: skipping it can cause your metabolism to temporarily drop 25%. But eating breakfast doesn’t mean you have to slave over something uber-complicated before you’ve even had your coffee. Pop this in the microwave and go:
Hot Cereal with Blueberries and Toasted Almonds
1/4 cup dry Bob’s Red Mill 10-Grain Cereal (Gluten-free? Try their Creamy Buckwheat Cereal instead.)
3/4 cup water
1-2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp unsalted, dry-toasted almonds, slivered
1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
Combine the cereal and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook for 3-5 minutes. Stir in honey, to taste. Top with almonds and blueberries.
Serves 1.
